The problem:

Let’s face it:

The science is confusing, the information is fragmented, and the narratives are misleading.

Despite sustainability strategies and climate conversations - the mess is getting messier.

This mess has been caused by:

  • shallow sustainability strategies

  • misdirection and greenwashing

  • misaligned communication

  • inaction and pointing fingers in blame

  • a disconnect from the real impact

  • eco-anxiety, depression, helplessness, fear, apathy

  • a gap in scientific understanding

  • prioritising profit over the planet and her inhabitants

When people don’t truly understand the systems they operate in, they cannot make meaningful, eco-centric decisions.

And in a polycrisis, this lack of clarity becomes costly for organisations, communities, and the planet.

The Eco Chapter exists to mitigate the mess by:

  • Translating complex science into accessible, palatable language

  • Bringing clarity, compassion, and confidence back into strategies, education, and action

  • Helping organisations communicate honestly, act purposefully, and build regenerative culture from within

  • Educating individuals to empower them for a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous future.

Marla’s approach is three-pronged, focusing on ReEducation, ReImagination, and ReGeneration.

She works purposefully in service of the planet and her people (and non-human and more-than-human kin).

ReEducation

Eco-Literacy: Learn the Foundations

The science is technical, confusing, and fragmented.

To build a strong strategy, your team needs a clear understanding of the basics.

Strengthen your foundation and impress stakeholders with a high level of environmental and sustainability know-how.

ReImagination

Regenerative Consulting: Reimagine the Existing

With a solid grounding in eco-literacy, your team can examine existing strategies through a more holistic lens.

Combine systems thinking with critical thinking to refine, rework, and enhance current practices for long-term, regenerative impact.

ReGeneration

Storytelling: Showcase Impact and Purpose

Most people don’t read reports or connect with raw data - but they do connect with stories.

Stories spark neural activity, activating dopamine and oxytocin, creating emotional resonance and deeper understanding.

Inspire stakeholders to champion your projects through purposeful, impactful storytelling.
